Waterfield's Smart Case for the ipod touch is just that, smart. It offers lots of protection, uses a compact design, offers storage option, and can go anywhere!
First things first, the Smart Case uses a basic slide in design, meaning your ipod just slides into it and lots of padding and friction keeps your ipod safely inside. When you want to use your ipod, simply slide it out of the case. Now, if you're looking for a great case that lets you use your ipod without the extra bulk, keep reading. If you're looking for a case that protects your ipod while you're using it, then the Smart Case isn't the best option for you.
A lot of people, including me, love the slender and handsome design of the ipod. While I do enjoy using my ipod while it's in some cases, I cannot help myself from taking it out of cases every once in a while. Waterfield's Smart Case has solved my problem. As I said before, your ipod slides into the Smart Case's inner lining, made of Waterfield's Ultrasuede scratch-free liner. The ipod fits snuggly and safely inside the multi-layered case. When you want to use your ipod, it slides right out of the case with a gently tug. You can use the headphone jack and even the charger port by putting the ipod in upside down.
The look of the Smart Case seems simple and basic, however, it is still handsome and sleek. There is no visible stitching, and the sides have added grip for non-slip use. The Smart Case starts at $35 and comes in 6 great colors and you can add an elastic pocket for an extra $5. The elastic pocket has room for earbuds, your charger, or doubles as a wallet with room for credit cards and money. For an extra $4, you can add a flap or a belt clip. The version Waterfield sent to us includes the pocket, but no flap or clip. I find it hard to recommend the case without the pocket and I can only imagine that the flap or clip would really add to this case. As of right now, the case can only be put in my pocket or a bag, so listening to my headphones without holding it relies on whether I have any open pockets or not.
I am familar with other waterfield products, and the Smart Case is no different. They are very high quality and innovative, integrating both organization and usability.
