Hearing Components Whoomp! Earbud Enhancers
Comply(tm) Whoomp!(tm) Earbud Enhancers' tagline is "Make ordinary iPod earbuds extraordinary" and they do just that. The Whoomp! Enhancers snap onto your existing earbuds and increase bass, provide added comfort and feature a secure fit. Using Hearing Components' Comply foam tips, the enhancers provide a soft earplug-like fit that enhances the earbuds and also reduces outside noise.
The Whoomp! enhancers comes with two sets of enhancers and a nice carrying pouch. One set is slightly slimmer than the other but both feature the same design that uses Comply's visoelastic polyurethane foam that is meant to expand inside the ear canal creating an earplug-like fit that also reduces background noise and improves audio quality.
The enhancers snap right over the ipod earbuds and the foam tips are at a slant so they fit in your ear very comfortably and easily. The trick with these foam tips is to gently roll them in your fingers squeezing the foam down slightly, then slide it into your ear and hold it allowing the foam to expand to your ear's shape. The slanted design seems superior to other alternatives as the ipod earbuds sit in your ear comfortably as well. The larger sized tips create a tighter seal that features more noise reduction, boost bass, and improve comfort. The slimmer tips, while also more comfortable for smaller sized ears, still provide some noise reduction, bass boost and a secure fit.
My only gripe with the enhancers is that the foam tips are on permanently, so if they get damaged or dirty you need to buy the whole set brand new. However, the tips are easy to clean off if they become dirty and using the provided padded carrying case the Whoomp! enhancers reduces the chances of damaging them.
Whoomp! Earbud Enhancers are great add-ons for the ipod earbuds. The foam technology is far superior to other styles of earbuds and allow you to listen to higher quality audio at a lower volume while blocking out unwanted noise. The sound quality is much cleaner and really allows you to get the most out of your ipod, earbuds and music!
