Griffin FlexGrip
Griffin's FlexGrip silicone skin is an inexpensive and safe way to protect your iPod Touch. The skin is made of durable black and gray silicone that is form-fitting to your iPod. The skin has open access to both the dock connector and headphone jack. The skin has an embedded ‘button' to make using the on/off button easy. Like most protective cases for the iTouch, this skin leaves the screen wide open to damage. Fortunately for us owners, the iPod Touch screen is scratch resistant so my only concern with these open screen cases is dust and stuff getting on the screen or inside the case.
Lookswise, the FlexGrip is more of a sporty looking skin. The front face of the skin is all black and the back in gray. The back face of the skin has raised grips to prevent the iPod from slipping out of your hands. It also has Griffin etched on the back. Also, unlike most other skins like this one there is no belt loop, which to me is a plus rather than a minus.
As the FlexGrip falls in the $10-20 range, it has a lot of decent competition. However, with its added grips, sporty look and durable design it rises above. To make things even better, for the $15 you also get a cleaning cloth and a static peel screen protector. Seeing as the screen is scratch resistant I don't use the static peel which may reduce the sensitivity of the touch screen.
