Belkin Micro Grip

Belkin's Micro Grip is a light and easy to grip slide-in case for your ipod touch. It comes packaged with a clear screen protector for added protection and it comes into two color options; black and lavender.

The Micro Grip's best feature is it's superior grip. Made of durable rubber molding with single-seam construction, the Micro Grip offers lightweight protection for your ipod. The seamed design looks great with the ipod and has a nice embedded velcro strap to hold the ipod in securely. The interior of the case is a nice soft cloth material.

Unfortunately the Micro Grip has a couple flaws that keep it from being one of our favorite cases. A minor flaw is the case is not quite form-fitting. While the ipod fits nicely and securely in the case, there is some excess case that hangs over on the corners and edges. Not a big deal but it is noticeable. The biggest flaw I found is with the home button. There is a 'built-in' home button in the Micro Grip; unfortunately there is no cut-out or anything on the inside of the case allowing the home button to be pressed in effectively. I often found myself pushing very hard multiple times to get the button to work and even when it does work you cannot feel the button clicking. To me this is a major design flaw as it greatly affects a common function of the ipod.

The Micro Grip has a few nice features that would make it a very nice and unique case for the ipod if it didn't have any design flaws. However, the home button issue keeps me from being able to recommend this case.

bottom line

The Micro Grip has some unique features that are very nice, but the home button design flaw is very annoying and makes the home button unusable. Therefore, I don't recommend this case unless Belkin makes a design change.
